Tijaniya Muslim Council Raises Funds for Educational Complex
The Tijaniya Muslim Council Ghana (TMCG), yesterday, organized a fund-raising ceremony for the construction of Sheikh Abdullahi Ahmad Maikano Educational Complex and the official launch of the 2022 Maulid of Sheikh Tijani Ra, at Prang, in the Bono East Region.
The project, which is an initiative of Sheikh Maikano, is estimated to cost $32 million and can boast of every modern facility an educational complex may have.
In an interview with a reporter, the Eastern Regional secretary of the TMCG, Alhaji Aminu Muhammed, who also doubles as a financial committee member of the fund-raising team, threw more light on their motives. He further explained how the educational committee was going to work with the funds raised and the demarcation of the country for the fund-raising activities of the TMCG.
In a brief moment, the Supreme Leader of the TMCG, Sheikh Ahmed Abdul Failu, told attendees how far the Council has gotten to with its work in Ghana. He asked for God’s protection and guidance for everyone and urged the members to hold on tight to their faith.
The Algerian Ambassador to Ghana and former Ghanaian Diplomat, honorable Sadiq Sinari, graced the occasion, and the appeal for funds at the ceremony raised GH 32,000,00.
