A National Dialogue on small-scale mining held at the Accra International Conference Center – AICC had the presence of His Excellency Nana Akufo-Addo, sector minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Samuel Abu Jinapor, and other prominent dignitaries.
The forum was held to have dialogue and a common consensus on managing small-scale mining in Ghana.
President Nana Akufo-Addo in his presentation stated that Ghana is a land named some 64 years ago and we as a people must protect it. He said it is a land our forbearers fought to gain for us and therefore nothing should deter us from protecting it.

However, the president admonished that we should be able to build broad-based consensus in rejuvenating the land dear to us.
The president concluded on determining to enforce laws on illegal mining.
