It is yet another season of Joy Prime’s Big Chef, and the main battle of young chefs has hit your television screens once more.

The third edition of Big Chef is finally here. Hundreds of children between the ages of 8 and 14 sent in their entries following the opening of applications.

BIG CHEFS 1

Thirty were shortlisted to prove their inclusion in a face-to-face audition with the season’s judges, Chef Jiji and Chef Kofi Agyekum.

Each of the qualified kids delivered the best culinary dexterity in the execution of the day’s task to book a slot on the final 12 list.

Based on the challenge, all contestants creatively garnished already-cooked dishes to the admiration of the judges.

BIG CHEFS 2

Marvelled as they were, the judges commended the performance of the children and shared their anticipations for the main contest.

“Big Chef, third edition, is going to be very great because I see a lot of confidence and eloquence. I see the kids are prepared for the show.

“Also, I see a few of them who will compete against each other. The two ladies who came to dance, I enjoyed seeing them dance together, and also loving and joining cooking with dancing is going to be fun,” Chef Jiji assured.

“What they were able to present tells me that our kids have a bright future when it comes to the culinary aspect of the chef business.

“Some of them were able to exhibit their confidence level when it came to the presentation of the food. Some of them were able to express themselves very well.”
