It appears all is not well with the workers of the Kumasi Metro Mass Transit Company as they move to petition the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II over what they describe as unfair treatment from management of the company.
The report convened detailed that, the striking workers Thursday morning drove out the deputy managing director in charge of operations Nana Osei Banfo.
Mr Banfo visited the locked bus terminal to dialogue with the workers who are on day two of their strike action following the failure of the company to settle their three months of salary arrears.
Addressing the workers, the Senior Staff Chairman, Opoku Amankwaa indicated that leadership of the workers will submit a petition along with other requirements of the Manhyia Palace by close of day Friday.
“We will find out how to petition Otumfuo at Manhyia. We will also find out what rites we have to perform before we petition Otumfuo before he intervenes on our behalf.”
