The Ghana Police Service has launched an investigation into the ‘fake gunshot incident’ of Shatta Wale.
The primary investigation by the Ghana Police indicates that the gunning incident was a hoax.
Following that, the police issued a statement stating that they had initiated an inquiry into the allegation, which included making contact with some of his near and dear ones, all of whom claim to be unaware of his location or the alleged occurrence.
Marking the onset of the inquiry, police have detained a number of people for their apparent involvement in the ‘phoney’ shooting attack.
1. Bishop Stephen Akwasi (Jesus Ahoufe)
The first person arrested by the authorities was Ghanaian prophet Jesus Ahoufe of the New Life Kingdom Chapel.
The prophet was scooped up at the offices of Accra Fm on Tuesday for an interview with radio presenter Nana Romeo, according to a viral video posted on Adom FM online.
2. Kojo Owusu Koranteng (Nana Dope)
Police have also taken custody of Kojo Owusu Koranteng, also known in showbiz as Nana Dope. On October 19, 2021, Nana Dope, Shatta Wale’s personal assistant, was arrested for allegedly distributing fake information on his social media with the goal of inducing fear and terror.
3. Eric Venator(Gangee)
The Ghana Police Service apprehended Eric Venator, also known as Gangee, together with Nana Dope.
4. Charles Nii Armah Mensah(Shatta Wale)
The individual at the forefront of the hoax, Shatta Wale, was detained on Tuesday evening. Shatta Wale turned himself in at 8:59 p.m. on October 19, 2021, after the Ghana Police Service publicly declared him and another person wanted.
