Obuasi Ashanti Gold SC has missed out on signing lethal striker Yahaya Mohammed with Aduana Stars pulling out of the deal to loan their top marksman.
The Miners are billed to compete in the CAF Confederations Cup as well as the local competitions in the 2020/2021 football season.
In a bid to strengthen their squad for the challenge that lies ahead, the club has in the past month been in talks with Aduana Stars to secure the services of Yahaya Mohammed on a season-long loan.
Though officials of the Dormaa based club and Ashgold had already revealed that the deal was about 99% complete, the latest information reaching Modernghana Sports has confirmed that there will be no movement for the highly-rated striker in the ongoing transfer window.
According to checks, the deal has been called off by the bankroller of Aduana Stars, Nana Agyemang Badu II.
In line with that, the forward who scored 11 goals for his club in the 2019/2020 football season will stay put in Dormaa for the upcoming season.
