Two people died on the spot when an accident happened at Abofour-Camp in the Offinso Municipality on the Kumasi-Techiman highway on Thursday, October 22, 2020.
The incident occurred just after 2 pm and has left others in critical condition and fighting for their lives at the St. Patrick Hospital in Offinso.
Ploce personnel and the Ghana Fire Service were called to the rescue of the wounded survivors.
The accident occurred when a KIA pride taxi, registration number GR-2382-16 collided with an articulated truck with a Burkina-Faso registration number, 11-GL-6488.
According to eyewitnesses, the KIA pride contained five passengers who were travelling to the Offinso township from Abofour while the truck was on its way to Burkina-Faso.

As the truck reached the Abofour camp, it collided head-on with the KIA Pride wich was coming towards it in the opposite direction.
It is feared that the death toll could rise as some of those sent to the hospital were in very critical condition.
