The Madina constituency chairman of the NPP, Eric Nartey Yeboah has charged the campaign team of the NPP in his constituency to work hard to retain the seat for the party.
Speaking at the inauguration of the constituency campaign team, the popular NPP chairman also known as Chairman Dollar enumerated a number of projects that the NPP has undertaken in the constituency in less than four years in government. He noted that four years of the MP for the area Alhaji Abubakar Sadique Boniface is so far better than the 12 years of Alhaji Amadu Sorogo’s 12 years.
The Madina constituency parliamentary seat had long been held by the NDC until the former Salaga MP and former Minister for Zongo Development, and now minister of state at the office of the Vice President Alhaji Abubakar Sidick Boniface unseated the NDC in the 2016 elections. Comparing the records of the NDC and NPP in the constituency, the Madina NPP Chairman conceded that, “the only thing they beat us is the number of years they have held this seat, but there is nothing to show for their long hold on the seat, in just about four years we have so much to show in terms of development projects”.

Speaking to the campaign team, the NPP chairman noted that they have selected the best minds to lead the party’s campaign in the constituency.
“These are experts from every sector of our society and they have each impacted well in their field. The expectations is that they would come up with great ideas to retain the seat and to give the president four more years”.
He asked the team to work assiduously to ensure that they market the good work of the party in power and decode all the propaganda the NDC has been throwing in the air. He further indicated that the “NDC candidate is an alien to the constituency noting that the Madina constituency is like a family house and everyone knows the other, so when you’re a stranger in there we know”.
He charged the team not to be looking at the weakness of the NDC but to build a strong case for another four years for the NPP based on the solid track record of the party within the four years in power.
On his part, the MP for the area, Hon. Boniface congratulated members of the team and reiterated his commitment to fulfilling every promise made to the people of the constituency.
The special guest of honor, Sammy Awuku who is also the National Organiser of the party assured the campaign team that all logistics needed for the campaign would be made available and on time.
