Black Queens head coach Kim Lars Bjorkegren has acknowledged the talent Ghana possesses and has guaranteed long-term success.
The Swedish tactician was officially introduced to the public after signing a two-year contract to lead the women’s senior national team.
The 43-year-old replaces Nora Häuptle, who left to join Zambia following the expiration of her contract.
Addressing the media in his unveiling, Kim admitted the abundance of talent in the country.
‘’I can see so much talent in this country, so I am really sure that in the short term, we have the potential to be successful’’ he said.
‘’In the long term, I can always guarantee that we will be successful.’’
‘’I know there has been a lot of good work done in the past couple of years. I know a little about the Volta project, and that’s something we will keep working on and discussing to change the momentum and keep moving in the right direction’’ he added.
Bjorkegren’s debut on the dugout will be the upcoming friendly against Morocco on February 21 ahead of the Women’s Africa Cup of Nations scheduled for July.
The Black Queens have been paired with South Africa, Mali and Tanzania in Group C.
