There Is No Acting Bortianor Mantse – Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam I Tells Ghanaians
The Bortianor Mantse, Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam I, has told Ghanaians there is no acting Bortianor Mantse. Therefore, he is the only substantive King of the Bortianor community.
Recently, there have been chieftaincy disputes persisting in the area.
Reports indicate that someone is claiming to be the acting king of Bortianor, meanwhile, the main king of the community is alive.
According to Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam I, “there is no acting Bortianor Mantse, the court has even ruled that there’s no Bortianor Mantse, and that person calling himself Bortianor Mantse has been warned to stop calling himself by that title.”
He added that the case is currently in court. So if the self-proclaimed king and his cohorts do not understand anything, then they should visit this court for a re-dress, and stop causing pandemonium in the area.
“The case is in court right now, so if you want something, go and challenge the court, go and tell the court. Not that you will go about fighting and bringing chaos to the place. No, the case is in court, why should you bother yourself to go around fighting people and putting land guards to fight people”, Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam I stated.
The right King of Bortianor reiterated he is a real Mantse since 1993, who went through all the necessary procedures one must go through to become a king. According to him, he was gazetted so no one challenges his kingship.
“I am Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam I, all avenues one passes before you install to be a king, I have gone through. I have my gazette, so nobody is challenging me. If you go wayward to another area, then you have lost. But the real Mantse exerted since 1993, is Nii Ogbarmey Ankonam”, Bortianor Mantse said.
He finally advised the general public to desist from doing business with that imposter calling himself the acting Bortianor Mantse.
