The Member of Parliament of Tarkwa-Nsuaem, George Mireku Duker has taken a major step towards boosting the personal development of his constituents by donating 300 industrial sewing machines, and 150 hair dryer machines to 450 women in his constituency.

This donation is a continuation of a plan which is already in motion, and aimed at elevating the living standards of people of the constituency, and reducing poverty in the area. The MP, since his election, has put hundreds of people through skill training and equipped them afterwards to start their own businesses.

“It’s about women empowerment. One of my major interest as a Member of Parliament for Tarkwa-Nsuaem is empowering the women of my constituency, and it is something I have been doing over the years.
