EFFUTU CONSTITUENCY – Efutu NDC Mad at Police Commander, Asked Him To Stay Neutral Else………

The Opposition National Democratic Congress(NDC) in the Effutu Constituency(Winneba) has asked the District Police Commander, Chief Superintendent Samuel Okanta to stay neutral over the ongoing registration exercise or else they seemed to advise themselves.

Addressing a Press Conference today, Constituency Secretary to the party Abraham Henry Arthur said the actions of the police Commander is too unbearable since his dealings show clearly that he has taken the stand of politics in Winneba.

He has alleged that the Police Commander is in bed with the Member of Parliament for the Effutu Constituency Hon Alexander Afenyo Markin.

Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC in Effutu Constituency, James Kofi Annan admitted he suspected there is a big brain behind his dealings thereby having a huge promise somewhere that he will be made a central Regional Police Commander that why he’s doing this.

Meanwhile, certain party-faithfulls have appealed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) to call the police Commander in order to avoid blood flow in Winneba.

This came into light after the Parliamentary Candidate for the NDC in Effutu James Kofi Annan was arrested and arraigned before the Winneba District Court for allegedly assaulting the Winneba District Police Commander verbally that he is the reason Why the community is not enjoying Peace. when he stormed the premises of the Electoral Commission Office where a Registration Review Committee to sit on Challenging people from registering have been set up.

The case has however been adjourned to the 28th of July 2020.
