Mr. Andrews Teddy Ofori, the Hohoe Municipal Chief Executive (MCE) who presented the items to representatives of the educational directorates, said it formed part of government’s support to ensure that students were safe and adhered to all precautionary measures.

He said the items would be evenly distributed to ensure that all students and schools were adequately resourced to curb the spread of the novel corona virus disease.

Madam Gladys Amenya, Hohoe Municipal Director of Education who received the items on behalf of the Directorates, expressed gratitude to government for the support in ensuring safe and conducive teaching and learning environment for teachers and students.

She said the items would be put to good use and tasked heads of the beneficiary institutions to ensure students and staff observed all protocols.
Madam Amenya said the Directorate had monitoring teams to ensure compliance.

A total of 95 veronica buckets, 38-gun thermometers, 190 soaps, 190 tissue papers, 3,688 hand sanitizers and 11,065 face masks were presented to seven second-cycle institutions in the Hohoe Municipality.
