I Am Here to Rebrand the NDC Party to Make It More Attractive – Henry Osei Akoto
Ahead of the National Democratic Congress (NDC)’s elections to elect members to lead the party at the national level, a candidate for the national organizer position, Henry Osei Akoto, has said he is vying for this position to rebrand and make the NDC more attractive.
According to him, branding is very imperative in everything, even in commerce, a product is able to attract buyers for patronage if it is well-branded or packaged. That’s how he promised to make the NDC stand tall in distinct from other parties in Ghana in order to drag more people into the party.
He indicated that the brand health of the party is weak, so he is coming to change the narrative.
The second issue he spoke about was to make the grassroots of the NDC feel part of the party.
He reiterated that not until election time is when to approach the grassroots, but right from the scratch, adding that he is coming to make the grassroots of the party believe and have confidence in the party’s inclusiveness.
Mr. Akoto stressed that if anyone thinks he can cheat the NDC, that person is a joke, it is never going to happen, so far as he is concerned.
In relation to this, he declared that the next NDC coming, is full of vigour, not to cause violence but to lawfully rescue Ghana from the NPP led by Akufo-Addo and Dr. Bawumia, who has led Ghana into severe hardship and suffering.
Reflecting on the previous general elections which saw ten people die in that particular election in 2020, he re-emphasized that no one can scare the NDC again this time round.
The NDC National Organizer Candidate criticized the President’s silence on this issue since nothing has been done so far, noting that those deceased persons had family and children.
In conclusion, he urged
party members and delegates to vote for him coming December 17, 2022, in order to achieve the rebranding agenda and more.
Mr. Henry Osei Akoto made these assertions in an interview with Rite FM News at the NDC headquarters in Adabraka when he came to file his nomination form on Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
