Vice Presidential Candidate for the National Democratic Congress(NDC), Professor Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang has finally reacted to the allegations levelled against her by seasoned broadcaster, Captain Smart.
Captain Smart on Angel FM’s morning show revealed that the running mate of NDC’s flagbearer, John Mahama had written to the University of Cape Coast(UCC) to renew her contract as a lecturer of the University.
He further revealed that Prof. Naana Agyemang has ended her part-time contract with the University but still received a salary for the month of August and September although she never worked.
“I want to beg the Vice Presidential Candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Jane Naana Opoku Agyemang. The letter you have written to the University of Cape Coast to renew your contract please go and take your letter back. At this moment, you are not a lecturer on that campus. So if your contract is renewed, will you be lecturer or you will be a Vice President.”
“August your drew salary, in September did you go for the salary? I like you because you are a woman. But In August did you teach? If you don’t want problems, send the money back to them and also go back to the Cape Coast University for your letter asking for the school to renew your contract,” Captain said on the Anopa Bofo) show.
Prof. Jane Naana Agyemang in a statement addressing the allegations levelled against her by Captain Smart admitted that she has received a salary for the month of August and September which she vowed to refund since she was not in the post within the period.
She further disclosed that the letter requesting for her contract to be renewed by the University of Cape Coast(UCC) preceded her announcement as the NDC’s running mate for the forthcoming 2020 General elections.
Prof Naana Agyemang urged the public and party sympathisers to disregard the allegations made by Captain Smart and other news portals.
