The National Sports Authority (NSA) has asked three Ghana Premier League clubs to resort to alternative venue with the Accra Sports Stadium set to be closed down for Christmas festivities.
According to a letter signed by the Director General of the NSA, Professor Peter Twumasi, the venue will be unavailable for matches in December with clubs advised to look elsewhere for their home games.
Hearts of Oak, Great Olympics and Accra Lions are the clubs expected to be affected by the decision to close down the stadium next month.
Per statement released by the NSA, the three clubs, the Ghana Football Association and the Ministry of Youth and Sports have all been notified with the imminent closure of the stadium.
The El-wak stadium will be the match centre available in Accra as it currently serves as the home ground of Premier Leagus side, Legon Cities.
