The National Organizer for the National Democratic Congress, NDC, Akamba Joshua Hamish, has today revealed, that the NPP allowed fertilizers to go waste out of mere wickedness.

According to him, under Former President Mahama, he imported fertilizers with tax-payer’s money, to be distributed to farmers for free and when the New Patriotic Party, (NPP), come into power, in 2016, decided to sell it to the farmers.

With that, the farmers, realizing it was meant for free and not to be sold, decided not to purchase, which on the part of the NPP, allowed to expire and disposed of it, rather than giving it out for free.

The National Organizer made this revelation on the Anopa Bofo) with Captain Smart on Angel Fm. Further adding, he noted that the funds for planting for food and jobs under NPP were a resource from Canada by the Former President Mahama, and when the money arrived, “we were not in power and the NPP took it and turned it into a fiasco planting for food”.

“We were going to put out agric mechanization centers and bring money, we will equip the place with Tractors, and that would have allowed farmers to walk in there, take a tractor to work on their farms, and later bring them back…we were going to give them a loan with no interest,” he said.

The purpose of this initiative, according to him was to help farmers produce and the country to export more as it was a big challenge facing the country.
