The National Entrepreneurship and Innovation Programme (NEIP), in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance, has launched the Skills For Jobs Project, a new initiative aimed at providing skills training to 100,000 youth across Ghana, with a goal of creating 120,000 jobs nationwide. The launch event took place at the Accra Digital Centre, attracting participation from various state institutions.

NEIP CEO, Kofi Ofosu Nkansah, emphasized that the program has the potential to significantly reduce youth unemployment in the country. “NEIP, along with other flagship programs, has been a game changer in providing jobs for the youth,” he said. He assured Ghanaians that the initiative would continue to provide job opportunities even beyond the upcoming elections and is not politically motivated.

Nkansah further highlighted that the NEIP initiative does not merely offer training; it equips participants with startup packages to help them transition into work immediately after their training. He urged the youth to take the initiative seriously, emphasizing its importance for their future and the nation’s development.

Deputy Finance Minister Hon. Steven Amoah also spoke at the event, encouraging the youth to seize this opportunity to develop their talents and make the most of the training provided. He added, “The NPP government is the only political party that truly cares for the youth, as shown by our commitment to ensuring no youth is left behind in the world of employment.” He urged Ghanaians to vote based on competence and support a party with hope and vision for transforming the country.
