Ningo Prampram National Democratic Congress parliamentary aspirant, Michael Kwetey Tettey says he will emerge victorious in the ongoing parliamentary elections.
According to him, in the last primaries the incumbent, Sam George won by a slim margin because some of his supporters were not allowed to vote. However this year, he believes he will be given the nod.
“This is not the first time I am contesting. The last time I contested the difference was seven in favour of Sam George. Now don’t also forget that there were 27 others who participated in the presidential but they were prevented from voting in the parliamentary and all those 27 were my supporters which means that if they were allowed to vote, I would have won by 20 votes,” he said.
Speaking to JoyNews before casting his vote, he advised that little attention be given to his competitor because even in football matches everyone believes they will win until the end of the game.
“How many football clubs have you seen that when they have a match and you ask them, they tell you they are going to lose? He is going to lose it but he can’t say it, yes I am very certain about that,” he said
The former constituency chairman added that he had adopted better strategies which were key to sealing his victory.
However, ahead of the polls, a research by Global InfoAnalytics suggests that the vociferous incumbent will secure an overwhelming victory.
According to the research findings, Mr Nartey George will win the contest between him and a former constituency chairman of the party, Michael Kwetey overwhelmingly.
The poll also stated that about 56 per cent of NDC delegates in the Ningo Prampram constituency have indicated that they will vote for Sam George; while 16 per cent of the delegates have chosen his contender.
However, 28 per cent of the delegates were undecided at the time of the poll.
Again, the incumbent MP has predicted that he will secure a resounding victory.
