Kylian Mbappe and Lionel Messi recovered their stride as they led Paris Saint-Germain to a 3-2 comeback victory against RB Leipzig in a Champions League thriller at home on Tuesday, October 19, 2021.
Mbappe was the first to score, and Messi owed his second-half double to France forward after the Ligue 1 side had fallen down 2-1 after goals by Andre Silva and Nordi Mukiele on each side of the break.
After missing a stoppage-time penalty, Mbappe set up Messi for the equalizer and won the penalty, which the Argentine converted with an ice-cold chip after a lacklustre effort from the club’s new signing.
PSG now leads Group A with seven points from three games.
