JoyNews sights letter detailing payment for Hwidiem-Kenyasi road project after chief sheds tears over poor roads
A letter sighted by JoyNews has revealed an amount of GH₵95.4 million being paid for the upgrade of the Hwediem-Kenyasi road in the Ahafo Region last year.
Newmont Ghana Gold Limited made the payment following a collaborative agreement with the Ministry of Roads and Highways to fix the road.
It is among a list of poor roads in the area that led to the shedding of tears by the Goasomanhene when former President John Mahama visited his palace.
Nana Yaw Gyimah who followed the ‘Building Ghana Tour’ to the Ahafo Region puts the spotlight on the road.
