Aired every Sunday, this year’s edition brings together 12 talented young chefs selected from the audition including, Sasha, Monalisa, Serwaa, Hilda, Bubune, Raziela, Nicholle, Jaden, Rena, Marvin, Clifford and Eliane. These bold, creative, and fiercely passionate children have stepped into the spotlight, ready to battle it out for the coveted title of Ghana’s Ultimate Junior Chef.
From the auditions, viewers have been treated to a rich feast of emotions as each contestant puts their skills to the test in front of professional. With Chef Rita Oko and Chef Kofi Agyekum leading the judging panel, the bar has been raised, and the pressure is as intense as the heat in the Big Chef kitchen.
Chef Rita Oko, affectionately known as Chef Rita, is a celebrated figure in Ghana’s culinary and hospitality landscape. With a Master’s degree in Hospitality and Tourism Management, she has served in top-tier roles, including Food & Beverage Manager at Njoy Hotel. She’s also an experienced lecturer at GH Catering School and has worked with luxury brands like Kempinski. Beyond her resume, Chef Rita is a passionate mentor with a soft spot for nurturing young talent, making her a perfect fit for the Big Chef stage.
Chef Kofi complements her with a no-nonsense, precision-driven approach. A master of both traditional and modern culinary techniques, Chef Kofi is known for his high standards, innovative flair, and deep commitment to culinary education. His ability to challenge and inspire young chefs while keeping the kitchen grounded in excellence makes him a fan favorite and a formidable judge.
