James Kifo Muriuki has been arrested after it was reported that he allegedly sealed his wife’s private parts with super glue.
According to the Directorate of Criminal Investigations, the suspect was traced to his hideout at Kaningo in Kitui County.
“She (the wife) was beaten by the suspect who also sprayed pepper, salt and super glue on her genitalia and later used a knife to push the said contents to her lady parts. Further, it was reported that he sealed her mouth and ears and left her for dead,” the DCI said on Twitter.
Another suspect, James Murogi Maingi, was also arrested on Thursday: DCI said he is known for practising witchcraft within Kaningo.

It is at his house that the main suspect was found hiding after he committed the heinous act on his wife.
Muriuki is said to have lured his wife in the dead of the night to River Kathita, ordered her to strip naked and tell him all the men she had slept with while he was in Nairobi.
It is here that the 30-year-old man is alleged to have dehumanized her after the information he wanted was not forthcoming.
Reports indicate that Muriuki committed the act while their three-year-old son was watching and it is the boy’s cries that alerted the neighbors.
They rescued the woman and she was rushed to hospital in serious condition.
The suspect however fled from the scene and it remains unclear. Police were alerted and began to search for him.
The DCI said Muriuki will be charged accordingly once necessary police procedure is complete.
