Father Brutalises Son To Death
A man in his mid twenties has done the unthinkable, depicting how wicked a parent can be to their ward. Elvis Teye Sackey, 27 years of age, who resides in Teshie Abglazaa, allegedly killed his four-year-old child through excessive beatings. The boy, Michael Teye Sackey, was beaten mercilessly by his biological father, resulting in his death on Sunday morning, July 3, 2022, at LEKMA hospital.
The child’s mother, Christiana Ashaley Armah, who also resides at Teshie Tabibiano, sent her child to the father in April with the purpose of securing a job, hence needed the father’s assistance with the child. The child has since been with the father until his demise. It was reported that the child was home on Friday, July 1st due to midterm. Elvis locked his son in the room whilst stepping out with the excuse of not allowing his stepmother to take care of him until his return. The child was pressed with nature’s call and had no option but to defecate in the room since he was locked, and this sparked the anger of his father, who used belts to whip Michael uncontrollably.
On Sunday morning, which happens to be on the 3rd of July, Elvis started beating his four-year-old son again until he fell unconscious, which caused him and his stepmother to rush Michael to the hospital. Elvis and his stepmother left the hospital under the guise of getting a folder for the child after the child was pronounced dead at the LEKMA hospital. When Elvis’s father called Christiana, she learned of her child’s state. Elvis has taken to his heels after committing such a despicable act since Sunday.
The grandfather of the deceased, Robert Armah Ashitei, is seeking justice for his grandson through the police and media. The case has been reported to Teshie police station and police paid a visit to the corpse for inspections and further investigation. Mr. Armah Ashitei is pleading to the public through Hombase TV for the general public to report Elvis to the nearest police station when seen in any neighborhood.
