Edward Osei Boakye Trust

By Raymond Acquah

The Edward Osei Boakye Trust has presented a cheque for the procurement of surgical lamps in fulfilment of its pledge to provide essential medical equipment to the Wa West District Hospital.

The hospital had been grappling with the lack of proper surgery lamps, leaving doctors to rely on the feeble glow of their mobile phone lights during critical surgeries. This dire situation had a profound impact on healthcare delivery within the facility.

Upon learning of this distressing predicament through a report by JoyNews’ Rafik Salam, the Trust swiftly made a promise to provide the much-needed equipment.

Gerard H.O Boakye, a trustee and the executive secretary of the Trust fund, presented a generous cheque on behalf of the Trust to cover the cost of the medical equipment, emphasising that such philanthropic endeavours align perfectly with the Trust’s vision and mandate, and demonstrates its unwavering commitment to advancing healthcare in Ghana.

The Edward Osei Boakye Trust Fund stands as a testament to the late Edward Osei Boakye’s unwavering dedication to uplifting lives and communities through advanced healthcare and education. By harnessing resources from the residual real estate of Edward Osei Boakye and fostering sustainable partnerships and investment portfolios, the Trust ensures the efficient administration of the Trust Fund and its core activities.
