The police have identified the suspect who crashed a saloon car into another vehicle on Dzanie Ashie Street in East Legon as Salifu Amoako.
Investigations are underway to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident, which resulted in two fatalities.
According to a police statement, both vehicles caught fire and were burned beyond recognition.
The suspect driver and other survivors are currently receiving medical care.
One of the survivors has been treated and discharged, while the bodies of the deceased have been taken to the morgue for preservation and autopsy.
