Minister for Planning and also Member of Parliament for Wenchi Constituency, Hon. Professor George Gyan Baffour has called on politicians to be tolerant with opposing views to ensure peace prevails before, during, and after the December 7, 2020 Presidential and Parliamentary elections.
The Honourable Minister made the call on Wednesday, October 7, 2020, when he has submitted his nomination form to the Constituency office of the Electoral Commission of Ghana in Wenchi of the Bono Region to seek for reelection to represent the Wenchi Constituency in his fifth bids in Parliament of Ghana.
Professor George Gyan Baffour further called on the political parties to conduct Issue-based campaigns devoid of insults to ensure the growth of Ghana’s democracy.
The MP, commended the Electoral Commission for its commitment during the just ended new voters ID registration and voters register exhibition exercise and urged them to continue to do the good work they have started to enable them to conduct a free, fair, and transparent election in the Wenchi Constituency as well as the entire nation.

He said major roads in the Wenchi Constituency had been awarded on contract while plans were afoot to provide more developmental projects.

He, therefore, called on the people in the Wenchi Constituency to rally behind him and President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo to ensure victory in the general election.
Professor George Gyan Baffour finally charged supporters of the ruling New Patriotic party to go to door to door to preach the good work he and Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and the NPP government has done for Wenchi and the entire nation to ensure victory on December 7 general election.
He was accompanied by the Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr. Yaw Gyan, the Wenchi Municipal Chief Executive, Dr. Prince Kwakye Afiriyie, and some few party stalwarts.
