The report from the Ghana Health Service indicated that the increasing number of cases is down to the ongoing enhanced surveillance exercise.

The rapid rise of the disease has seen President Akufo-Addo extend the partial lockdown of Accra and Kumasi by one week and extended the ban on public gathering by another two weeks.

Many are calling for a partial lockdown of all affected regions and that decision looks imminent as more people test positive of the deadly virus.
