Daasebre Akuamoah Agyapong II, the Board Chairman of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) and Paramount Chief of Kwahu, has resigned from his position with immediate effect following serious allegations of extortion.
His resignation came shortly after an emergency board meeting, during which he stepped down in what appears to be an attempt to safeguard the bank’s reputation in light of the growing controversy.
Earlier reports also showed a letter from the Bank of Ghana ordering him to resign.
