A man believed to be in his 80s has been kidnapped after he was accused of being a wizard by a group of people at Kambagu in the Bunkprugu district of the North East Region.

He was abducted on Monday morning at the village while on his way to a family meeting. He has since not been found after an overnight rescue search by the police, according to his son. The people who kidnapped accused him two months ago of being behind the death of their relative and have been trying to take him to a witch doctor.
