An ultramodern edifice which is meant for Clinic at Gomoa Eshiem in the Gomoa West district of the central region had been abandoned in a bush for some years now.
According to the chiefs and elders of Gomoa Eshiem, they allocated Ten(10) acre of land to the previous NDC government to build a clinic for the community, the government then put up the building and when they were about furnishing it for the commission they, unfortunately, left power. It was the expectation of the community that, the NPP government would have by now commission the health facility but nothing has been done since they took over from NDC.

The acting chief, Nana Bismark Acquah, lamented that a community with a population of over Eight thousand(8000) and with over three thousand (3000) eligible voters do not have access to quality health care, a community with two senior high schools, can only bost of a small CHPS compound with only two wards.
When CTV news reporter, Samuel Addo, visited both facilities, we found out that, works on the clinic is hundred percent complete, left to be furnish and commission and in the CHPS compound we found out that, patients are being treated on benches and on tables, the wards have only three beds, one in the delivery Ward and two in the main Ward.
According to them, they have made several appeals to the Gomoa West District Chief Executive and the member of Parliament, lawyer Kwadwo Abban but to no avail. They are therefore calling on the President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akuffo-Addo to come to their aid to have the facility commission as soon as possible.
