Legal Practitioner, Christian Lawerh Anim Esq, Head of HR at the Ada College of Education (ADACOE) in the Ada East District of the Greater Accra Region, has urged the youth to harness positive qualities in workplaces to achieve work success.

Speaking at a business forum dubbed “workers’ business breakfast meeting” organized by the Church of Pentecost, Buadey Assembly-Nungua, he highlighted that the unemployment rate in Ghana is forcing citizens to pursue scarce job opportunities; therefore, those who are employed must exert effort to maintain their positions.

He believes that as Christians, these attributes are crucial in organizations, workplaces, and academic settings, and should be in harmony with the Christian principles demonstrated by Jesus Christ, which contributed to his success in ministry.

He mentioned, “You must cultivate a skill that makes you unique among equals. Work as if you did not need money. If people think you need the money, it gives them power over you and makes you insecure.”

The lawyer further noted that the youth often demonstrate procrastination in their jobs, urging them to view each employment opportunity as a valuable gift and to actively participate in advancing their work.

“Do not waste time procrastinating your work and life activities, make money decisions quickly, and see yourself as others do.”

He reiterated that for youth to thrive in any workplace, they must also exhibit humility to earn God’s favor. “There are two ways to get God’s unmerited favor: total obedience and humility. Acknowledge God in your ways. Let him take the glory, and you take his promises.”

Lawyer Anim also advised them to engage positively with others and recognize the potential within others, acknowledging them as opportunities from God.

“Whenever God wants to bless someone, he shows them a man or woman he has prepared to help them. Do not try to outshine men who are around you, and do not outshine your master. Give men the honor they deserve, and be nice to people.”

Lawyer Christian Lawerh Anim Esq highlighted that pride in life, desire for life, and lust of the eyes are adverse behaviours that hinder personal growth; therefore, he cautioned against engaging in these practices.
