Assistant coach of the Black Stars, John Paintsil, has declared Ghana’s World Cup qualifier against Chad a “must-win.”
This follows a string of disappointments after the team failed to win any of their last six matches in the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations.
The Black Stars will host Chad on Friday at the Accra Sports Stadium before jetting off to Morocco to face Madagascar on March 24.
“The Chad game is a must-win, and with the support of the fans, I know it will go well for us,” He told Happy FM.
“We all know what qualifying for the World Cup will do. It will bring opportunities, open doors, and create investment platforms.”
The Black Stars share the top spot in Group I with Comoros on nine points from four matches.
