World Cup 2026Q: Alidu, Fatawu return as Ghana releases 24-man squad

Defender Alidu Seidu and forward Fatawu Issahaku have returned to Ghana’s squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers against the Central African Republic and Comoros later this month.

Coach Otto Addo named 24 players, including Seidu, who has recovered from an ACL injury after missing the previous call-up.

Fatawu also earns a recall after returning to action for Leicester City in the Championship following a long-term injury.

The squad features two debutants – midfielder Prince Owusu from Ghana Premier League side Medeama SC and Kojo Peprah Oppong of French club OGC Nice.

Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare, defender Alexander Djiku, midfielders Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus, and captain Jordan Ayew are also among the regulars listed.
