Ghanaian artist, Camidoh, has taken a stance by stating that he will not fault the media for any lack of promotion of his songs but rather, his team.
Speaking in an interview on Daybreak Hitz on Hitz FM, Camidoh expressed gratitude for the unwavering support he has received from the media throughout his music career.
When asked if the media had been fair to him enough in terms of his music, he stated that the media has, hence, he would hold his team accountable if anything went wrong, specifically referring to the promotion of his music instead of blaming the media.
[embedded content]“I can’t blame the media. I will always put the blame on my team if my songs are not promoted as they should,” the Sugarcane hitmaker.
Using an analogy, he likened creating a product and not utilizing it to being the sole responsibility of the creator, rather than blaming others.
“If you make a product and you don’t let people know about it, you can’t say people are sleeping on your product. Hence, you should give them what you need so they can act on it,” he said.
He stated that, if his team fulfills all the requirements for effective promotion and the media still falls short in providing the expected support, only then would he hold the media responsible.
“If the PR manager on the team or whoever has to communicate with the media does their job well, end of story. If after this, the media doesn’t support my music, that’s when I can blame the media,” he concluded.
