NPP flagbearer hopeful Kennedy Ohene Agyapong has pledged to lead a determined effort to return the New Patriotic Party to power “with dignity and courage.”
In a post on Facebook on Monday, November 24, after his campaign tour of the Tarkwa enclave of the Western Region, Mr Agyapong condemned what he called unacceptable attempts to silence or pressure his supporters, insisting he would no longer remain quiet.
He stressed that he had served the Western Region with loyalty and would continue to defend the truth regardless of any attempts to deter him.
“The level of intimidation in Tarkwa is unacceptable, and I will not sit quietly anymore. I have served the Western Region with dedication, and no man born of a woman can stop me from defending the truth.”
Calling on delegates ahead of the party’s 31 January presidential primaries, he urged them to remain resolute and vote for what he described as the candidate “Ghanaians themselves are calling for”.
Mr Agyapong vowed that, under his leadership, the party would “reclaim the Western Region, restore our lost seats and return the NPP to power with dignity and courage.”
