
Ghana defeated Benin in their third game at the ongoing WAFU B U20 Girls’ Cup on Monday, November 10.
The Black Princesses scored two goals past the host nation once again to record their second win in two games while completing the doubleheader over Benin.
Sarah Nyarko and Latifa Musah were both on target in the encounter which took place on Monday morning.
Having rested on Sunday after back-to-back games against Benin and Nigeria last Friday and Saturday, respectively, the Black Princesses return to action with head coach Charles Sampson making changes to his squad.
Juliana Gyekewaa was handed her first start of the competition as she started at right back, with goalkeeper Aishetu Awinimi also coming into the starting lineup.
Ghana enjoyed a bright start to the game with several changes but the breakthrough came in the 14th minute when Sarah Nyarko scored from close range.

Sarah had scored in Ghana’s opening two games prior to this fixture.
Ghana went into the break with a 1-0 lead.
Sampson’s side continued their impressive performance in the second half with chances all over the place in the second half.
Latifa Musah, who won the Player of the Match in Ghana’s first meeting with Benin, added the second in additional time to claim a 2-0 win for the Princesses as they look ahead to their final game against Nigeria on Tuesday.
