Ghana’s senior women’s national team, the Black Queens, are gearing up for a crucial two-legged encounter against Egypt in the 2026 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations (WAFCON) qualifiers later this month.
The Black Queens will begin their quest for back-to-back WAFCON tournaments with a two-legged game against Egypt. The first leg is scheduled for Thursday, October 23, 2025, at the Ismailia–Suez Canal Stadium in Suez, Egypt, with kickoff at 4:00 PM (local time).
The return fixture will take place five days later on Tuesday, October 28, 2025, at the Accra Sports Stadium, kicking off at 3:30 PM.
Kim Lars Björkegren’s side will be looking to continue their fine run of form and secure early qualification to the continental showpiece.
The Queens, who have seen improvement in recent months, are determined make a quick return to the continental tournament after their participation in July.
