Ghanaian Afro-dancehall and reggae musician Livingstone Etse Satekla, popularly known as Stonebwoy, has sent a warm message to the Black Queens ahead of their quarter-final clash at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

The team finished second in Group C, following a mixed run that included a 2-0 loss to defending champions South Africa, a 1-1 draw with Mali, and a decisive 4-1 victory over Tanzania in their final group game.

The Queens will now face Algeria in the quarter-finals after securing a spot in the knockout stage.

“I enjoy women’s football more than men’s football and have been following them, especially the new player Chantelle Boye. I’ve been doing videos to encourage them,” he told Asempa FM.

“Myself, and I believe all Ghanaians, are rallying behind them, so they should make us proud by beating Algeria this Saturday,” the musician said.

“I hope to meet them when they return to Ghana after the tournament,” Stonebwoy added.
