The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has announced the temporary closure of the VVIP Lounge at the Accra International Airport to allow for renovation works aimed at improving the facility.
The closure takes effect from Friday, April 3, 2026, and is expected to last until Friday, April 10, 2026, when the lounge will be reopened for use.
According to the Ministry, the exercise forms part of ongoing efforts to upgrade key national infrastructure and enhance the safety, comfort, and overall functionality of the facility for high-level dignitaries and official guests.
The Ministry apologised for any inconvenience the temporary shutdown may cause and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering efficient and high-quality public service.
