Eight dead in helicopter crash

The Vice-Chancellors of Technical Universities of Ghana (VCTU-G) have expressed profound sorrow following the tragic Ghana Air Force helicopter crash that claimed the lives of eight distinguished Ghanaians on Wednesday, August 6.

In a statement signed by Rev. Prof. John Frank Eshun, Chair of VCTU-G, the institution extended heartfelt condolences on behalf of the entire technical university community to the bereaved families, the government of Ghana, the Ghana Armed Forces (GAF), and the people of Ghana.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with you,” the release read. “We urge the entire Technical University community to observe this period with utmost solemnity and respect, in honour of our departed compatriots.”

“May their souls find peaceful repose in the bosom of eternity, and may their families be comforted by the nation’s gratitude and the legacy of their comradeship and patriotism,” the statement stated.

The statement concluded with a unifying call to the nation.
