V/R: Two die from lightening at Manoaha near Kpetoe

Two persons have been struck by lightning at Manoaha, a village near Agotime Kpetoe in the Volta Region.

According to the Kpetoe District Police investigations have kick-started to certain the cause of the death.

Reports say the victims were part of seven farmhands who had gone to work on an okro farm at Manoaha on Monday, October 18, 2021, at about 3.30 pm when the thunderstorm struck.

A starrfm report indicates that all seven persons on the farm sought shelter from the rainstorm, but unfortunately, two of them allegedly got struck by lightning and died instantly.

The police say, the bodies of the two, a male and female will be duly processed for an autopsy for further investigations.
