The Acting Chief Executive Officer of the Ghana Shippers’ Authority, Professor Ransford Gyampo, has paid an emotional tribute to the late Defence Minister, Dr Edward Omane Boamah, and Minister for Environment, Mohammed Murtala, who tragically died in Wednesday’s military helicopter crash.
Prof Gyampo stated that he remains in disbelief and cannot accept the news of their passing until he sees their remains. “I am still living in the state of denial, hoping that until I see them dead in their caskets, it’s difficult for me to believe.”
He hoped the two might be found alive, possibly stranded somewhere in the forest. “I am thinking that maybe we have to go to the forest again, hoping that we will find them hiding somewhere, maybe they missed their way, they are lost, it is very painful.”
His emotional remarks reflect the deep sense of loss and shock that continues to grip the nation following the fatal incident.
