The Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament, Hon Alban Sumani Bagbin has described the just ended voters registration exercise which was conducted by the Ghana Electoral Commission as ‘Shameful’.
According to the Nadowli West Constituency Lawmaker, the new voters registration exercise has been the worst electoral flaws in the history of the country taking into account the number of violence and the heavy-armed security presence that marred the exercise. The Electoral Commission, he said, has failed all of us and this has drawn the attention of Ghanaians to the fact that the EC as an institution has not matured.

The Second Deputy Speaker was speaking at the inauguration of the Bono Regional Campaign Team of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) at its Regional Office in Sunyani yesterday.
The 41-Member Team, led by the Regional Chairman, His Excellency Kwadwo Nyamekye-Marfo is to strengthen the campaign in the region while propelling the party to victory comes 7th December, this year.
The ceremony was graced by some bigwigs in the party such as the National Communications Officer – Sammy Gyamfi, the General Secretary – Johnson Asiedu Nketiah, the 2nd Deputy Speaker of Parliament – Hon Alban Kingsford Sumani Bagbin, Member of Parliament for Banda – Hon Ahmed Ibrahim and all the eleven (11) parliamentary candidates for the party in the Bono Region.
Swearing in the members, Hon Bagbin charged them to work hard and send the “good” message of the NDC to the people to enable them to win power comes December 7.
