Trudy Arnold Foundation leads 7km health walk to raise awareness on breast cancer

The Trudy Arnold Foundation, a non-profit organisation dedicated to women’s health, empowerment, and preventive care, successfully held its Health Walk for Breast Cancer Awareness in Accra over the weekend. The event formed part of the Foundation’s Pink October campaign to promote early detection, education, and support for women affected by breast cancer.

The 7-kilometre walk commenced from the Studio 7 Clinic premises in Dzorwulu, proceeding through Roman Ridge and the Airport environs, before returning to the clinic, where a series of health-focused activities took place.

Held in partnership with the Ghana Health Service, the Breast Society of Ghana, and Judy’s Healthcare Agency, the event attracted an impressive turnout of participants from all walks of life, including health professionals, community members, and public figures.

Among the dignitaries in attendance was Honourable John Dumelo, Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon and Deputy Minister of Agriculture, who commended the initiative for its impact and community engagement.

“Events like this remind us that early detection saves lives,” Hon. Dumelo stated. “We must continue to encourage regular screenings and awareness throughout the year, not only during October.”
