Management of the Tema Oil Refinery (TOR) has acquired and officially commissioned a new fleet of vehicles to improve operational efficiency and address longstanding logistical constraints at the refinery.
The newly procured assets include eight Mitsubishi vehicles, three Toyota Coaster buses, two industrial forklifts, and additional operational vehicles intended to support daily refinery activities.
Management noted that the last major logistical support of this scale was in 2013, with the extended gap having hampered productivity and slowed operations over the years.
Board Chairman Nayon Bilijo inaugurated the vehicles and approved their immediate deployment for official and operational purposes.
TOR management emphasised that the procurement was financed entirely through the refinery’s Internally Generated Funds (IGF), accumulated in 2025 under the current leadership.
In a statement, TOR expressed sincere gratitude to President John Dramani Mahama and the Minister for Energy and Green Transition, John Jinapor, for their guidance and support in revitalising the refinery.
The management also commended the workforce for their resilience and dedication, noting that staff commitment has been essential in sustaining operations despite previous logistical challenges.
