
In a historic and spirit-filled ceremony on Tuesday, 25th November 2025, The Church of Pentecost, Sabuli District in the Wa Area of the Upper West region, officially launched the Sabuli Community Development and Transformation Project, a major community-focused initiative aimed at promoting holistic development in Sabuli and its surrounding communities.
The project is inspired by the Church’s Vision 2028 document, “Unleashing the Whole Church for the Transformation of Their World with the Values and Principles of the Kingdom of God.”
It focuses on practical, Christ-centered interventions designed to address pressing community needs in education, health, livelihoods, moral development, and environmental care.

Key Areas of Focus
P/Ovr Ebenezer Enyinful, Sabuli District Minister, explained that the project is anchored on five pillars:
1. Spiritual and Moral Development
2. Education and Youth Development
3. Health and Social Welfare
4. Economic Empowerment and Skills Development
5. Environmental Care and Community Infrastructure
He emphasised that the initiative aims to build sustainable systems that strengthen families and foster long-term community resilience.

Major Interventions Announced
As part of the launch, the church unveiled several impactful interventions, including donations to the Sabuli Clinic, support for schools, and ongoing youth-focused programmes.

• 64GB Pen drive

Education Support
• Distribution of 4,000 exercise books, rulers, pens, mathematical sets and other stationery to schools in the Sabuli Circuit (Gbare, Saawie, Zooh, and Sawali).
• Ongoing Sunday evening extra classes for all JHS students in the circuit.
Healthcare Support
• Free NHIS registration and renewal for community members.

The event brought together key institutional leaders, including:
• Hon. Peter N. N. To-ang, Municipal Chief Executive (Jirapa)
• Mr. Huudu, Municipal Director of Education, and his team
• Representatives of the Municipal Health Directorate
• Traditional leaders of the Sabuli Traditional Area
• SISO for Sabuli
• School heads, health staff, and community members
• Representatives from the Christian Health Association of Ghana (CHAG)
Their attendance underscored broad institutional endorsement for the project.

Messages of Support
The Municipal Director of Education praised the intervention as timely, especially the supply of learning materials and extra classes, which he said would ease the financial burden on parents and improve academic performance.
The MCE commended the church for demonstrating how faith-based organisations can actively complement government efforts in health and education.

Traditional authorities also applauded the initiative and pledged community cooperation.
Representatives from the Municipal Health Directorate and the Executive Director of CHAG expressed appreciation for the medical supplies, noting that they would significantly enhance service delivery at the Sabuli Clinic.

Speakers commended P/Ovr Ebenezer Enyinful for his commitment to community transformation. They praised his leadership in mobilizing resources, coordinating partners, and championing programmes that benefit residents.
P/Ovr Enyinful expressed gratitude to all partners and acknowledged the support of the Wa Area Head, Apostle Bernard, and his wife, Mrs. Vida Abogorago.
