The Business African Consulting Group (The BAC Group), organizers of Africa’s official off-season football festival, The All Star Festival, have officially commenced their Global Engagement Tour as preparations gradually build toward the highly anticipated 2026 edition of the event.

The first stop of the tour saw The BAC Group delegation, led by Chief Executive, Dr. Ernest Koranteng, visit Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku at the King Power Stadium, where the Black Stars winger delivered a match-winning performance for Leicester City in their 2–1 victory over Bristol City. Issahaku scored the decisive goal to secure the win for the Foxes.

As part of the engagement activities, the delegation will once again be at the King Power Stadium on Saturday, March 14, to support the Black Stars captain Jordan Ayew and Issahaku when Leicester City take on Queens Park Rangers in another important league encounter.

The Global Engagement Tour forms part of The BAC Group’s broader efforts to connect with African footballers across Europe ahead of the 2026 All Star Festival. After engagements in the United Kingdom, the delegation is expected to continue the tour with visits to Ghanaian and other African players in Italy, France, Turkey, Spain and several other European destinations.

The All Star Festival has steadily grown since its inception, beginning in Accra in 2022 before moving to the Brong Ahafo Region in 2023, Tamale in 2024, and returning to Accra in 2025. Organizers say the festival is hoping to once again surprise the football community in Africa with another historic host community for this year’s edition.

However, The BAC Group has indicated that details regarding the venue for the 2026 event are yet to be officially announced. Traditionally staged in June, this year’s festival will take place after the 2026 FIFA World Cup, which will occupy the usual calendar window, with organizers confirming that the event is expected to be held in July this year.

An official announcement on the new date and host city is expected in the coming weeks.

Dr. Ernest Koranteng, Chief Executive of The BAC Group, emphasized the importance of the engagement tour in building momentum toward the next festival.

“Our Global Engagement Tour allows us to connect directly with African footballers and strengthen the vision behind The All Star Festival. Because of the World Cup calendar, this year’s edition will take place after the Mundial, and we look forward to announcing a host community that will once again excite the entire African football ecosystem,” he said.
