The Commission for Technical and Vocational Education says it has reported a substantial growth in student interest in vocational and technical education.

During a media forum, Deputy Minister for Education (TVET), Gifty Ampofo Twum, unveiled a notable increase in TVET enrollment from 17,000 to an impressive 50,000.

Africa, and specifically Ghana, stands at a crucial juncture calling for a proficient workforce, encompassing artisans and technicians to bridge the skills gaps across various economic sectors.

Deputy Minister for Education (TVET), Gifty Ampofo Twum, underscores the escalating interest exhibited by students over the years, marking a significant stride in the TVET industry.

Director General of the Commission for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (CTVET), Dr Fred Kyei Asamoah, emphasized the imperative of leveraging skilled sectors to foster robust collaboration between them.

This collaboration, he suggests, is pivotal in meeting the dynamic demands of the economy.
