Producers of Tasty Tom Tomato Mix have resumed operations after a temporary suspension linked to safety concerns.
The company further unveiled new measures aimed at strengthening quality assurance and restoring consumer confidence.
The move follows collaboration with regulatory authorities, including the Food and Drugs Authority (FDA), after recent reports questioned the safety of some products.

The company says all issues were swiftly addressed and that new oversight systems have been introduced to prevent a recurrence.
Assistant Quality Assurance Manager Ernestina Adjetey told JoyNews on Monday, November 3, that the company is reinforcing transparency by opening its factory to the public.
“Tasty Tom is inviting the general public to visit our factory every Thursday to witness the good manufacturing practices we have in place. From strict handwashing procedures to sterilisation protocols, visitors will see all the safety and quality measures we apply to produce safe and quality Tasty Tom products,” she said.
The factory tours, which form part of a wider openness and accountability initiative, are intended to reassure consumers following the review.
Tasty Tom, one of Ghana’s leading tomato mix brands, says it views this renewed focus on transparency as part of a broader commitment to maintaining public trust and food safety.

Some visitors who joined the factory tours praised the company’s effort to engage directly with consumers.
“If you are a Tasty Tom or Rich Tomato Mix enthusiast like I am, you should make time to visit. Seeing the processes firsthand rebuilds the confidence and trust we’ve had in the brand over the years,” said Getcho Daju Boklo, Assembly Member for the Biak Parfuma Electoral Area.
Food industry observers say public trust in brands now depends heavily on how openly they respond to consumer concerns. The Food and Drugs Authority (FDA) has described Tasty Tom’s initiative as a “positive step” towards stronger compliance and engagement within Ghana’s food manufacturing sector.
Tasty Tom says it will continue hosting periodic factory tours and uphold its strengthened safety framework to maintain high production standards and rebuild full consumer confidence.
